Summer Tanka 2022 #2

The monstera of
the teahouse has just three leaves,
un-fenestrated;

But the ten propagations of pothos
dangle down from the top floor.

When everyone is
hiding in air-conditioned
office cubicles,
my friend and I both came to:
green house, tea house – green tea house?!

A green purple heart
with dried brown bits on the stem
but ample new growth.
A lost housefly lands on it
and crawls across the cracked pot.
